Osinbajo: If elected president, I’ll complete what Buhari started
.
.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo says if he is elected president, he will complete the works started by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo said this while declaring his intention to run for office of the president on Monday.
The vice-president said his plan is to establish the “Nigeria of our dreams in a few short years”.
“I have spoken to small and large businesses. I stood where they stood and sat where they sat. I know their hopes, aspirations and fears; and I believe that those hopes and aspirations are the seeds for the great Nigeria that we all desire,” he said.
“I believe that the very reason why the Almighty God gave me these experiences, these insights, and these opportunities, is that they must be put to the use of our country and its great peoples.
“Which is why I am today, with utmost humility, formally declaring my intention to run for the office of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the platform of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.”
The vice-president said he would focus on creating a tech economy, lifting 100 million out of poverty and security, among other areas.
“Above all, front and centre of our efforts will be the provision of jobs and opportunities for our young people,” he said.
“I now most solemnly and respectfully seek the support of fellow Nigerians everywhere in this land, and the diaspora, young and old, male and female, in the great and exciting journey that we have ahead of us.”
Osinbajo said Nigerians should unite and have a country “where all are treated fairly, justly and with respect”

1: Don’t take it personally

One of the most important things to remember when you get rejected from a job is not personal. The hiring manager might have had someone else in mind, or they might have just been looking for a different skill set. Whatever the reason, don’t take it personally.

2: Don’t dwell on it:

It’s important to remember that rejection is not the end of the world. Yes, it hurts now, but you will get over it. Don’t dwell on the rejection – instead, focus on what you can do to improve your chances of getting hired next time.

3: Use it as motivation:

Getting rejected can be a huge motivator. It can help you focus on your goals and work even harder to achieve them. So use the rejection as fuel to propel you forward in your job search.

4: Learn from it:

If you take the time to reflect on why you were rejected, you might learn from your mistakes. Maybe you need to brush up on your skills, or you didn’t sell yourself well in the interview. Whatever the reason, use it as an opportunity to improve your job search strategy.

5: Network more:

Networking is a great way to connect with potential employers and get your name out there. When you get rejected from a job, make sure to reach out to your network and ask for help finding your next opportunity.

6: Keep your chin up:

It can be tough to keep your chin up when you’ve been rejected from your dream job, but it’s essential to stay positive. Remember that there are other opportunities, and you will eventually find the right one.

7: Stay focused:

It can be tempting to give up on your job search altogether when you get rejected. But don’t let the rejection derail your efforts! Stay focused on your goals, and keep looking for new opportunities.

8: Stay positive:

It’s easy to get down on yourself when you’ve been rejected, but it’s essential to stay positive. Remember that everyone is rejected at some point, and it doesn’t mean that you’re not talented or qualified. Keep your head up and focus on your next opportunity.

9: Take a break:

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the job search, take a break. Go on vacation, spend time with friends and family, or take some time for yourself. You’ll come back refreshed and ready to tackle the job search with renewed energy.

10: Seek professional help:

If you find it difficult to cope with rejection, seek professional help. A therapist can help you work through your emotions and develop a more positive outlook on the job search.

How can you decide which job to apply for?

The process of finding a job can be daunting, but if you take the time to figure out what you want, it will be much easier. For this purpose, here are a few questions you can ask yourself to figure out which job is the best for you:

  1. What are your passions?
  2. Do you want more flexibility or stability in your work schedule?
  3. Do you want to be able to travel for work?
  4. Do you want to make a lot of money, or are you more interested in job satisfaction?

Once you know the answers to these questions, you can start looking for jobs that fit your criteria.

10 proven ways to avoid rejection when applying for a job.

Now you know how to apply for the best job for you. Below are the ten ways you can increase your chances of getting hired:

  1. Apply for jobs you are qualified for: If you don’t have the qualifications, don’t apply.
  2. Do your research: learn about the company, its mission and values, and what they’re looking for in a candidate.
  3. Tailor your resume and cover letter: match your qualifications with what the company is looking for, and make sure your formatting is clean and easy to read.
  4. Practice your interview skills: rehearse common questions and practice your responses.
  5. Be professional: dress appropriately, be on time, and act politely and confidently.
  6. Know your worth: understand what salary you’re worth and don’t undersell yourself.
  7. Make sure your social media accounts are private or professional: Employers will most likely check them out.
  8. Be persistent: follow up after your interview, and don’t give up if you don’t hear back right away.
  9. Network: get connected with people who work at the company or in the industry.
  10. Apply early: the sooner you apply, the better your chances are of getting hired.

Conclusion

After going through all of these tips, you’re now ready to face job rejection like a champ!
