Osinbajo: If elected president, I’ll complete what Buhari started
.
.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo says if he is elected president, he will complete the works started by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo said this while declaring his intention to run for office of the president on Monday.
The vice-president said his plan is to establish the “Nigeria of our dreams in a few short years”.
“I have spoken to small and large businesses. I stood where they stood and sat where they sat. I know their hopes, aspirations and fears; and I believe that those hopes and aspirations are the seeds for the great Nigeria that we all desire,” he said.
“I believe that the very reason why the Almighty God gave me these experiences, these insights, and these opportunities, is that they must be put to the use of our country and its great peoples.
“Which is why I am today, with utmost humility, formally declaring my intention to run for the office of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the platform of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.”
The vice-president said he would focus on creating a tech economy, lifting 100 million out of poverty and security, among other areas.
“Above all, front and centre of our efforts will be the provision of jobs and opportunities for our young people,” he said.
“I now most solemnly and respectfully seek the support of fellow Nigerians everywhere in this land, and the diaspora, young and old, male and female, in the great and exciting journey that we have ahead of us.”
Osinbajo said Nigerians should unite and have a country “where all are treated fairly, justly and with respect”

If you are a Nigerian, you will need to complete the NIN-MTN linking process to continue using your MTN line. This process can be confusing for some people, so we have created this step by step guide to help make it easier. In this guide, we will walk you through each step of the process so that you can link your NIN to MTN without any problems.

What is NIN (national identification number)?

NIN stands for National Identification Number. It is a unique set of numbers assigned to every Nigerian citizen and resident in Nigeria. The NIN number is issued by the (NIMC) National Identity Management Commission after completing enrollment.

Why do we need NIN?

The use of the NIN has helped reduce fraud and improve security in Nigeria. NIN is used for various purposes, including identification, tax payments, and banking. In addition, the NIN is also used to verify the identity of individuals in Nigeria.

The government will use this national identification number to verify your identity when applying for some government services. NPC will also use it to identify you in the national population register.

Is it compulsory to register and link NIN to MTN in Nigerian?

Yes! All Nigerians should register and obtain a unique NIN (National Identification Number) to access government services, including social welfare schemes, or benefit from public services such as schools and hospitals, participate in electoral processes and receive dividends from government-owned enterprises. All citizens of Nigeria are required to register with NIN. It also includes Nigerian nationals who live abroad.

What will happen to your MTN line if you don’t link NIN to MTN?

You can only use your number when you link it to NIN. If you do not link your line to NIN, the Nigerian government will suspend it. This means that you will be able to make or receive calls, send and receive text messages, browse the Internet or carry out any other form of NCC-related services on your mobile number until it is linked to NIN.

You must have heard about the deadline for linking your line with NIN, and this is because of its importance in every Nigerian who wants to use their mobile phone network as a means of communication. This is why Nigerians are encouraged to link their numbers as soon as possible.

How to register for NIN in Nigeria?

To register for NIN, You will need to visit any of their authorized registration centres around you. The process will require you to provide your personal information, including your name, date of birth and place of residence. You will also need to provide your fingerprints and a digital photograph.

Your NIN number will be sent by text message or email, and you will be given a temporal Identification card immediately after you have completed all the required steps. Note: It may take up to a month or two before you receive your permanent NIN Identification card.

How to link NIN to MTN?

MTN

There are a few ways to link your NIN account with your MTN SIM card, but we’ll show you the easiest way.

First, open up your NIN app and click on the menu button in the top left-hand corner. From there, select “My Profile” and then “Profile Settings”. You should see a “Link NIN to Phone Number” button. Click on it.

Now you’ll get two options: either link by SMS or enter your SIM card number manually. It’s recommended that you use the first option since it’s much quicker and easier, but if for some reason that doesn’t work out, then select the second option, which is to enter your SIM card number manually.

If you choose the first option, you need to type in your MTN phone number and then click on “Send”. You’ll get a message from NIN asking you to confirm that you want to link your account with that number. Once you’ve clicked on “Yes”, you’re all set!

If you choose the second option, you’ll need to type in your MTN SIM card number and then click on “Send”. You’ll also get a message from NIN asking you to confirm that you want to link your account with that number. Once you’ve clicked on “Yes”,

The second procedure for linking your NIN to your MTN phone number is as follows: Using the MTN number you wish to link your NIN to, dial *785*Your NIN#, and your NIN will be linked to the number instantly.

However, to submit your NIN information online for verification and instant activation, Click here to visit the MTN NIN submission portal or download the MyMTN App from Google Play or Apple Store.

Conclusion
